Digital Audio Recorder

    There are many different brands and styles of digital recorders. The most important quality in  a recorder is the clarity of sound. The one in the picture (left) has great clarity, records up to 50 hours of audio, and fits in the palm of your hand.
    The purpose of the digital recorder is to pick up sounds not heard with the human ear. These sounds often take the form of speech and are referred to as electronic voice phenomenon or E.V.P. for short.
     The digital audio recorder is a staple of the paranormal investigator. It can be very helpful to have several recording at the same time. By doing this, it is easier to determine where a sound is coming from. Also, an evp can come from anywhere, not just where an investigator happens to be.
      Probably the most demanding part of an investigation is reviewing digital audio. Sometimes there can be many hours to listen to, and often recordings have to reviewed several times to understand what you are hearing. Only reviewing a recording once can cause a good piece of evidence to be overlooked.
